I bought Mike's other book Living Lean a couple months ago in a quest to further my weight loss. A little background: I've lost about 100lbs in the past two years with the help of a personal trainer. However, for the past four months I've been stuck on a very frustrating plateau. After doing some research, the key seemed to be to fine tune what I was eating. Being a UFC fan I was aware of the great work Mike does for fighters so I knew his methods worked and decided to give it a shot. A few months of eating out of Living Lean and I've started to lose weight again but like a lot of people, we wanted MORE recipes! (Greedy aren't we?). So what did Mike do? Whipped up 100 more recipes and put out this cook book.

This book contains a bit of his theory (but really, buy Living Lean first for that) but most importantly, it has so many simple, healthy recipes, there's bound to be something for everyone in it. It even has vegan/vegetarian options. The recipes are simple enough that even my friends who "don't cook" have tried them out. I so believe that this is the healthiest way to eat (it's a lifestyle, not a diet) that I've bought copies of Mike's book for a friend, my cousin and my mother in hopes that they too will get healthy. My favorite recipes so far have been the Chia Pudding, Avocado Fries, Spinach Pasta and Coconut Tropical Fried Chicken. I've made the Avocado Fries for UFC Fight night at my house and they got devoured before the fights even started. WIN! Thank you Mike!

The final point I'd like to make is that this electronic Kindle version is very convenient. I've downloaded the Kindle Ap for my phone. When I go grocery shopping I simply pull up Mike's Living Lean Cookbook and shop for the recipes I want to make that week. I don't have to write out a shopping list. Easy.

AWESOME BOOK. Recipes are not over complicated and most can be made rather quickly. This along with 3 weeks to shredded and the living lean book are an excellent blueprint of how to eat healthy and lose weight/body fat without having to go the traditional plain chicken breast and plain rice route. The food is very good and tasty.
I first heard about Mike Dolce when he volunteered to help UFC fighter Thiago Alves after he missed weight against Jon Fitch at UFC 117 and have been a loyal, avid follower of his ever since. I've been working out for years and was never able to get a six pack or achieve that desired "lean look". With Mike's help (The Dolce Diet and The Dolce Diet Living Lean Cookbook) I have finally been able to reach my goals. I've lost 22 pounds and, more importantly, cut my body fat from 17% to 8.2% following Mike's simple to use meal plans and I have never felt better in my life.

In a nutshell, this cookbook is is full of delicious, nutritious and super easy to prepare meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of Mike's books skip the boring scientific studies and research and concentrate on what foods to eat, buy and stay away from. Eat until satisfied!!! I never knew about quinoa, coconut oil, almond milk and buckwheat until I read Mike's books. Who knew that olive oil was not a cooking oil and that grape seed oil and coconut oil are great tasting, nutritious medium heat cooking oils!! The meals and smoothies that are in the cookbook are so easy and fast to make. I have never cooked in my life and now I completely enjoy preparing and cooking my meals. It's that easy to use and follow.

I can't recommend enough purchasing this book and Mike's "Living Lean - The Dolce Diet" book. Together, they teach you how to eat for life and not how to count calories or use points to achieve your fitness goals. You eat high quality carbohydrates, proteins and good fats. This is no Akins Diet nonsense this is real world, hardcore fitness nutrition. All of my co-workers and family have seen my results and have purchased this cookbook for themselves. Also, a majority of the recipes in the cookbook have gluten free and vegan options.

This book is for everyone so don't waste your money on fad diet books or gimmicks. If you are still skeptical, go to YouTube and search "Mike Dolce" and you will see for yourself how awesome Mike and his meals are. Purchase this cookbook and you will be fit for life!!!
If you have been looking for a way to loose weight and keep it off, this is the right way to do it. This isn't some calorie counting, high priced, hipster diet. The recipes have real food, from real whole ingredients that anyone can make. There is recipes for bfast, lunch, dinner and in between those times as well. Learn the principles Dolce has defined and you will see success. Get the Living Lean eating habits locked down then move on to the UFC Fit program (which uses the same Dolce Diet ) and you will meet your goals easily. Trust , I lost 45 lbs since January thanks to the eating habits in this book and exercise.
I love Mike Dolces philosophy on lean eating and a healthy lifestyle. Since implementing his philosophy I have lost 20 pounds and have never felt better (well, maybe in my twenties, but I wasn't old enough to know any better). I first heard Mike on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and have been a fan ever since. This book is a great companion to Mike Dolce's podcast. If your serious about getting healthy you should check out his podcast and buy this book and just follow it for a month. I would be shocked if you did not feel and look better after that month.
